Do More 24
On Thursday, June 1st, 2017, thousands of people will join together to create positive change in our community.
Do More 24™ is a local movement that brings together nonprofit organizations, companies, and people committed to making a difference. Through focused online giving on June 1, 2017, Do More 24 provides the opportunity for people to create solutions to our region's most difficult social challenges by determining which issues matter most to them and channeling their funding towards tackling those problems.
Powered by United Way of Delaware, Do More 24 encourages donors to contribute to the causes and organizations closest to their hearts to solve our region's most pressing challenges.
If you are a nonprofit and would like to participate in Do More 24 Delaware, registration will open early 2017.
Each year, United Way of Delaware is thrilled to welcome new faces and energy, courtesy of the Loaned Executive program. Loaned Executives, or LEs, act as account managers who work with UWD staff to plan and implement the annual Campaign. Corporate partners, such as DuPont, AstraZeneca, Delmarva Power and Bank of America loan several valuable staff members to the UWD team for approximately 16 weeks.
The benefits of the Loaned Executive Program include:
- Improved communications, public speaking and leadership skills for participants
- Increased visibility for your organization in the community
- Valuable new business contacts
- Increased awareness of your organization’s commitment to the community

Corporate Giving Fund
Giving Back Made Simple
The Corporate Giving Fund allows you to direct your charitable contributions to any local or national 501(c)(3). It’s a simple way to consolidate all of your charitable giving. You can elect to donate by check, credit card, or choose to be billed quarterly.
Once your account is established, you will receive a username and password in order to access our online donations management system. You will have the ability to authorize disbursements of any amount to any qualified charity using this online system.
You will receive one tax receipt for all donations within a calendar year. Also, using the online donations management system, you will have access to a record of donations made for the current year as well as previous years.
United Way of Delaware (UWD) will manage, track, and disburse your donations. Each time you make a donation, UWD will send a letter on your behalf along with the check.
Planned Giving and Endowment (Legacy) Options
Through planned giving and endowment options, you can ensure the work of Delaware’s most effective community impact organization goes on into the future while meeting your needs for financial and estate planning today.
Do you want to honor a loved one with a meaningful gift that will serve others? Endowment gifts are a great option. Legacy gifts may be made in honor of a named individual or group and support the work of United Way of Delaware.
