All Delawareans deserve access to quality healthcare and the resources necessary to live independently.
More than 100,000 people lack health insurance, which can significantly limit care, especially preventive care, and lead to more expensive, long-term conditions.
Together with our partners, United Way of Delaware's Healthy and Independent Communities initiative helps connect healthcare resources with those in need, including the elderly, people with disabilities, people with mental health and substance abuse issues and people without health benefits or without adequate health benefits.
Healthy Delawareans Today and Tomorrow, an initiative supported by AstraZeneca, has provided healthcare resources to more than 200,000 Delawareans since the program began in 2007.
Over the next five years, United Way of Delaware and our partners will work to increase the number of Delawareans in need receiving community-based services.
